Disclaimer:  I did not realize this was the last day of the challenge.  I wish I did so I could have finished stronger.  I awoke this morning in a tent in Birch Bay State Park with a sugar hang-over from the previous day’s Dinner Debacle.  There was also still some residual Kung Fu sparring woe, as evidenced by my first meal choice…..

(I slept through breakfast)

LUNCH:

  • BBQ Lays potato chips
  • Peanut M&Ms
  • Cliff Bar

DINNER:

  • Mexican taco salad (which chicken)
  • tomato / avocado salad

SNACKS:

  • apple
  • cliff bar
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs

BONUS:

  • enough water
  • enough sleep

And unbeknowst to me at the time, this was the end of the challenge.  This challenge was definitely hard, but I learned a ton.  I made some big changes and I really liked how I felt.  When I strayed, I felt it — BIG TIME!  I’ve always known that eating sugars and processed food makes you feel like crap, but now I know from personal experience the difference.  It’s my hope that I keep eating good (not perfect, but good) in the future.

Thank you Crossfit for encouraging me to make healthy life choices!

BREAKFAST:

  • 2 pieces of multi-grain toast with peanut butter

LUNCH:

  • bok choy stir fry
  • rice

This is where things went downhill………Firstly, I didn’t realize this was the next to last day of the challenge (I thought we had another week).  Who knew that this would be one of my last recorded meals!?!?!  Secondly, I bombed the sparring part of my Kung Fu test and was kinda upset.  And so in a very cliched fashion, I proceeded to drown my woe with food.  Read on.

DINNER:

  • Grilled Chicken sandwich
  • French fries
  • Kit kat bar (chocolate)
  • A big bag of peanut butter M&M’s
  • A big bag of BBQ lays potato chips

Yes, I temporarily felt better, but then I felt worse.   Sugar is not the answer.

SNACKS:  (these are from before the kung fu test, hence they are healthy)

  • grapes
  • 2 hard boiled eggs

BONUS:

  • enough water
  • enough sleep

I slept through breakfast.  This is a bad weekend habit that I’m becoming more aware of due to this challenge

LUNCH:

  • Subway sandwich (veggie delight)
  • Baked lays

DINNER:

  • spring rolls (veggie)
  • Thai chicken with veggies
  • brown rice

SNACKS:

  • Baked lays
  • Chocolate
  • Protein shake
  • Strawberry “smoothie” from Starbucks (really just a sugary drink)
  • 2 rice crispy treats

I don’t remember what happened today to account for all the sugar……

BONUS:

  • enough sleep
  • enough fish pills
  • enough water
